5 Things No One Tells You About Owning A Used Luxury Car

There's a difference between being cheap and treasuring value per dollar spent. One is knowing where the best burger joint is, and the other is going up to other tables and asking for unwanted leftovers and spare ketchup packets. Understanding this distinction is the reason why almost exactly one year ago I purchased a used Mercedes-Benz S500 and drove it daily. Here are a few things I learned along the way.

Check every box with the live configurator

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4Matic coupe is ready for its North American debut. The biturbo V8 Benz delivers 577 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, and drops as much as 128 pounds over the regular S-class coupe thanks to a lightweight battery, new alloy wheels and an optional composite braking system.
The configurator is live now, and there are lots of expensive options. We managed to max out at just over $205,000, and that’s without any custom designo stuff.
We drove the new S63 AMG over the summer and quite enjoyed the ride. The 5.5-liter AMG V8 reaches peak power at 5,500 rpm and peak torque at a low 2,250 rpm. It can get to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds on its way to a limited top speed of 186 mph. The coupe is still a heavyweight at about 4,700 pounds, making that top speed even more impressive.

The most expensive cars ever: Ferrari sells for $38m

A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta sold overnight for a record $38,115,000 (£22,528,626) at the prestigious Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction held during Monterey Car Week.
At a stroke, the Ferrari has become the most valuable car in the world, overtaking the 1954 Mercedes W196 R F1 Racer which sold for $30m at an auction at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Millions of people who served in their respective military units were exposed to asbestos over the legal permissible limits. In fact, for most of the period, the hazard of asbestos was not even known, meaning that for quite a time during this period, there were no threshold limits to asbestos exposure at all. It was in the early seventies that asbestos began to get banned from use in various fields. But the damage had already been done. And, here is the fatal twist in the tale of asbestos exposure by Navy Veterans.

Tips For Donating Your Old Car To Charity

Donating your old car to charity and benefit

Donating your old car to charity can be a rewarding act and something you can feel good about. Also, you can receive a decent tax incentive for doing so. Keep in mind though that to get the maximum tax break, the car needs to be usable and have a very fair market value. Just bringing in any old non-running vehicle is great too, but don't expect a huge tax rebate.
